Movie Tie-In: The Incredibles

Well folks, we've made it half-way through the first week of social isolation. Are you hanging in there? We're finding that getting outside and burning off some energy is key to staying positive and on-task. If you're looking for a fun, physical activity to do with the kids, this is the post for you because....

...we created an Incredibles themed obstacle course, using items we have around the house!

Let's start with Mr. Incredible and his super strength. The kids did 10 bicep curls using 5 lb. weights. This was followed by 10 jumping "Jack Jacks."

Next, they "Dashed" across our extendable ladder, hop-scotch style.

They moved on to testing their skills with Violet's (magnetic) Force Field.

I hot glued small magnets to a couple of cars and set up a space for the kids to use magnets to push the cars from the start to finish line. If the magnet in their hand touched the magnet on the car, or if their car went out of bounds, they had to start over.

For Elastigirl, they made their way through a maze made from yarn to test their flexibility.

Lastly, though not a superhero, we had to include famous outfitter of superheroes (and hero in her own rite), Edna Mode. For this challenge, the kids dressed in a shirt, bottoms, hat, and 2 accessories as quickly as possible.

Their outfits, I must admit, were "Incredible."
